There are some things you should do before starting the installation process. You will want to check your local fence codes and mark your utilities. You will also want to measure out and clear out the area on which you are placing your fences. Finally, you want to make sure you have all the tools and materials that you need. This includes a posthole digger, shovel, level, hacksaw, tape measure, screwdriver, hammer, wheelbarrow, Quikrete, string line, gravel, and stakes.
The first step is to place stakes where the corner and end posts will be. You will want to tightly wrap string between these stakes to visualize where the fence will be. Then dig holes for the posts. These holes should be 2 feet deep and 6 inches wide. After you have dug the holes, place the posts in the holes and use Quikrete to fill in the hole around the post. This will give it a solid foundation. Then, install line posts and sections using the above steps.
